Figure Study - Jessica - Grand Piano

This is the second time that I have used a former model with another instrument. In 2018, Jessica posed with an upright piano that was shot in her living room. It is only fitting that since a baby grand piano happened to be in the KA Photo Studio that we should take advantage of this opportunity…who am I to turn down such an offer from my favourite studio assistant and creative collaborator. This was the last time that I was able to use the KA Photo Studio and the last shoot of this series for 2021. KA Photo Studio closed its doors shortly after this shoot. The piano belonged to KA Photo Studio. Special thanks to Jessica’s boyfriend Jacob who acted as my studio assistant and took the image of Jess and me.

History - there are typically three lengths for grand pianos. The baby grand around 4'‘11”, the parlour grand 5’7”-7’3” to the concert grand 7’3”-9’10”.
