Figure Study - Alyssa - Drums

Well it took a couple years of asking but finally Alyssa (21) agreed to pose for my series. Alyssa’s shoot marks the first time in this series that a pair of sisters (Jessica and Alyssa) and mom (Patrizia) have blessed my project. She is an incredible drummer who keeps the beat for a local all girl band called ‘Not That I Care’. This was the first time that she has posed nude and as you can see, she looked comfortable and confident. I was assisted in the studio by her bandmate, sister and photographer Jessica. Drum kit provided by Alyssa.

History - The drum kit was patented in 1909 by Ludwig & Ludwig Co. By the 1920s the modern drum kit was developed in the vaudeville and dixieland era in New Orleans
