Figure Study - Emma - Mandolin

In February 2018, I started a series of figure studies with musical instruments as part of an assignment at the Georgian College Photography course. Emma (21) was my six and last model of 2018. She who posed with a mandolin and I must say, she is one of the most confident models that I had the pleasure to photograph. Special thanks to my assistant Jessica Rosati who made the shoot go smoothly.

History - the mandolin is a modern member of the Lute family. It dates back to Italy in the 18th century. The modern bowl back version is credited to the Vinaccia family of Naples, Italy.

Shot at the Georgian College photography studio, April 25, 2018.
