Figure Study - Jessica -Upright Piano
Jessica (21) was my fourth model of 2018. This was the first and so far my only time where I didn’t shoot in a studio. Jessica had an upright piano which she wanted to pose on top of. This was the first time I didn’t have an assistant although I thought her sister was going to be there to help. I can honestly say, I was very nervous about the situation. I had known Jessica about three years as we graduated from the Georgian College Photography Course. Two months early I had done a figure study shoot with Jessica’s mom Patty which she assisted me. I will alway be grateful for the trust Jessica had in me to ensure that she would be safe and that I would capture some amazing images of her.
History - The upright piano was invented in 1800 by John Isaac Hawking in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Unlike a traditional piano, the strings are strung vertically which allows the instrument to fit in more compact areas.
Shot at Jessica’s place, (Barrie) March 28, 2018.
