Figure Study - Bob - Banjo

I remember the photography program coordinator tell me that to better understand what my models must feel like being completely naked in front of a stranger that I should volunteer to be a model. So after shooting ten different female models I decided to take the plunge. Now who would I ask to be my photographer…duh it was a no brainer. Jessica Rosati who was my upright piano model and assisted in seven of my previous shoots eagerly volunteered to be the photographer. I had plenty of my former photography classmates ask to be the studio assistant. It happened that Becca, had just finished up shooting with the Didgeridoo, flute and shofar, wanted to stay to help to shoot me. It was slightly uncomfortable at first as I was a couple months short of my 63rd birthday and these young ladies were around 24 years old. I didn’t want them to suffer from PTSD after seeing my naked ass for almost an hour. After about 15 minutes, the nervousness wore off and no longer care if anything was peeking out. I’m grateful that I can include myself in this series with the banjo which I consistently make the joke that it is missing a G string. Banjo rented from Long and McQuade, North York.

History - The banjo was developed by African slaves sometime in the mid 1700 to early 1800 centuries.
